External works, including driveway, decoration, rendering, and landscaping
The old garden was entirely stripped out and the existing render, which had been poorly installed originally, was removed from the house. Everything was smartened up and replaced; ecodek Composite Decking was used for the decking, fencing, gate and to create a bin store, with excellent sustainable properties, this was a far superior choice over more traditional materials and used widely in the garden, it created a slick finish and everything matched and coordinated. Traditional render was used on the house with a Dulux Weathershield finish, again used for its longevity. A new drainage system was employed in the driveway and to finish it was laid with attractive Scottish Pebble stone.
External refurbishment of two 1970s houses with Cedral cladding solutions
Corfe Mullen, Dorset
The existing brickwork structure was repaired and the cable of the roof extended. New breathable soffits and facias were added and the new Cedral cladding was installed to the rear elevation. The exterior of both properties have been completely modernised; a traditional, dated look has been replaced with a contemporary, stylish finish that brightens up the houses and makes them much more appealing.
Conversion of garage & kitchen space and kitchen refit
This project involved converting half the old garage space into a new utility room and downstairs cloakroom and extending the kitchen to include the old utility room and cloakroom. All the rooms were then refitted throughout, with new lighting, all new appliances, new designer radiators and new units. The new kitchen is now spacious, with new French doors, a breakfast bar and family seating area with a contemporary finish.
Double-storey extension and garage conversion
Two major changes were carried out to dramatically increase the living space in this house; a double-storey extension was added and part of the garage was converted into an open plan dining area. Upstairs within the new extension, a split-level bedroom was added, a new shower area and the 5th bedroom was made larger. Downstairs, a new utility room was created in addition to the new dining area and a tiled floor was laid throughout to create an open-plan, spacious feel.
